This short series consisting of 3 videos contains material that will bring much spiritual profit.  The late Metropolitan Anthony Bloom (2003+) discusses the nature of suffering.  Often we hear of Protestant and Roman Catholic thinkers (throughout history) looking at suffering in and of itself as being salvific.  However, since the time of the Old Testament, all suffering has been identified as the product of a fallen world.  Suffering is not good in and of itself.

Often, atheist apologists point out the fallacy of suffering being a good thing.  They recognize this inherent falsity in the teachings of Roman Catholicism as well as some Protestant circles.  This misconception of the true nature of suffering has probably led many a soul away from Christ, and into the realm of atheism.
